Snapchat is rolling out a feature called Now Playing that lets users share the music they're listening to in real time, exclusively through Snap Map. Users have control over their listening privacy. They can choose who sees their activity, and the feature does not show listening history or the last-played song. Sharing remains active only if the app has been opened within the past 24 hours; after that, it pauses automatically until the user opens the app again. He described Now Playing as a new layer of expression and discovery on Snap Map, helping users share their day's soundtrack and find new music through people they already know.
